Gender Equality

Sanitary Pad Distribution, Child Help Foundation

Child Help Foundation (CHF) is committed to addressing the challenges of poverty, discrimination, and exploitation that hinder girls’ access to education. Through grassroots efforts and alignment with the national Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao flagship program, CHF has reached over 1,29,967 girls as of September 2024, creating opportunities for them to thrive academically and socially.

Advancing Girl Child Education

CHF's education initiatives are designed to ensure equal opportunities for boys and girls, fostering a better balance of power between genders. By actively promoting girl child education, CHF empowers communities to break the cycle of gender-based disparities and build a foundation for a more equitable future.

Advocating Gender Equality and Safety

  • Gender Sensitization: A total of 1,29,967 individuals have been sensitized to the importance of gender equality through CHF’s awareness programs.
  • Legal Awareness: CHF conducts sessions on critical laws like:
    • POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment): Aimed at creating safer environments for women in the workplace, these sessions are delivered by CHF volunteers in various corporations.
    • POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences): Focused on safeguarding children, these sessions are conducted in schools, ensuring children, parents, and educators are well-informed.
  • Self-Defence Training: CHF has organized numerous self-defence classes, equipping girls and women with essential skills to protect themselves.

Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health (ARSH)
CHF’s ARSH sessions emphasize educating adolescents on topics related to reproductive health, puberty, and sexual well-being. To date, these programs have reached 8,066 individuals, promoting informed decision-making and healthy behaviours.

Creating Change, One Step at a Time
Child Help Foundation envisions a future where education, safety, and equality are accessible to all, regardless of gender. Through sustained efforts, the foundation continues to champion the cause of girl child education and empowerment, ensuring a safer and more inclusive society for future generations.
